The largest history museum in Switzerland, housed in an impressive neo-Gothic building from 1898. It preserves more than one million objects showcasing the cultural and historical heritage of Switzerland from prehistory to the modern era. The collection of clocks, weapons, and decorative arts is particularly popular.
Admission is free on the first Wednesday of the month. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office or online. An audio guide available in multiple languages is included in the price.
