The heart of Zurich, featuring narrow cobblestone streets, Romanesque and Gothic churches, and medieval facades. It stretches along both banks of the Limmat river and includes the famous Niederdorf street, lined with cafes and boutique shops. Here you will find the cathedrals Grossmünster and Fraumünster, as well as Peterskirche.
The walk is completely free of charge. A morning visit is recommended due to fewer tourists. Flat-soled shoes are mandatory because of the cobblestone streets.
