A Romanesque Protestant cathedral from the 12th century, one of the symbols of Zurich and the birthplace of the Swiss Reformation initiated by Ulrich Zwingli. Its two distinctive towers dominate the city skyline. From the top of one of the towers, there is an exceptional view of the old town and Lake Zurich.
Entry to the cathedral is free, but climbing the Karlsturm tower requires a paid ticket. Tickets are purchased on-site. The tower is open from March to November.
