One of the most important art museums in Switzerland and the most significant art gallery in Zurich. It holds a rich collection of European art from the Middle Ages to contemporary works, including pieces by Monet, Picasso, Mark Rothko, and Alberto Giacometti. A new building opened in 2021 doubled the exhibition space.
The combined ticket for the permanent and temporary exhibition costs around 23 EUR. Free admission on the first Friday of the month from 5 PM to 9 PM. It is recommended to purchase tickets online in advance for special exhibitions.
