A Renaissance palace from the 16th century, once the seat of the Thurzo family who managed the copper-bearing mines in the region — today one of the finest preserved examples of Renaissance architecture in Slovakia. It now houses the Stredoslovenské múzeum with collections on mining and regional history.
The ticket covers the permanent exhibition of the museum in the Renaissance Thurzo House. It is recommended to check the opening hours on the Central Slovakia Museum website before visiting.
