Naxos – The largest Cycladic island, combining long sandy beaches, mountain villages, a fertile interior, and a rich history. Its trademark is the Portara, a massive marble gateway of the unfinished Temple of Apollo at the entrance to the port of Chora, one of the most recognizable symbols of the Cyclades.

Everything you need for Naxos in one place
A monumental marble gateway from the 6th century BCE is the only surviving part of an unfinished Temple of Apollo. It stands on the small islet of Palatia, connected to the town of Naxos by a causeway, and is the most recognizable symbol of the island and one of the most famous spots for watching the sunset.
A Venetian fortress from the 13th century, built on a hill overlooking the harbor, forms the historic core of the city of Naxos. Within its walls lie stone houses, narrow cobblestone streets, churches, and the Archaeological Museum of Naxos, while from the ramparts one can enjoy views of the harbor and the Aegean Sea.
– An ancient temple from the 6th century BCE, dedicated to the goddess Demeter, located near the village of Sangri in the interior of Naxos. It has been partially reconstructed and represents one of the most significant examples of early Doric architecture, with original marble elements preserved.
