Everything you need for Sestri Levante in one place
A semicircular cove surrounded by pastel-colored houses and a historic old town, one of the most recognizable panoramas in Liguria. The coastal promenade offers views of the entire cove and a small harbor with a church. Most visitors arrive in the afternoon, while the morning atmosphere is considerably more peaceful.
A narrow peninsula separating the Bay of Silence (Baia del Silenzio) from the Bay of Fairy Tales (Baia delle Favole) offers a panoramic view of both coves and the open sea. At the top stand the remains of the park belonging to the former Villa Marconi, where Guglielmo Marconi stayed during the 1930s. The paths are short and easy to walk.
A 17th-century Baroque basilica situated on a peninsula, with a white facade visible from the sea. The interior preserves votive paintings of sailors and votive objects that bear witness to the city's long maritime tradition. Entrance is free, and the church is generally open during the morning hours.
By train from Sestri Levante to Cinque Terre, where five picturesque coastal villages are connected by hiking trails, train, and local ferries.
