Bač and Bačka Fortress

Bač is a historic settlement in the western part of Bačka, with a heritage spanning various periods of Central European and Ottoman history. Bačka Fortress was shaped during the Middle Ages, and its most visible surviving element is the large keep-donjon. In Bač and its immediate surroundings there are also a Franciscan monastery and the remains of a hammam, making the excursion a journey through several distinct layers of cultural heritage.
