Bad Ischl and the Imperial Villa

A spa town in the heart of the Salzkammergut region, and the summer residence of Emperor Franz Joseph and Empress Elisabeth. The Imperial Villa is open from spring through autumn, closes in November, and reopens to visitors between Christmas and Epiphany. The town is also home to the Zauner confectionery, where Ischler Krapfen biscuits and Zauner Stollen were created.
