A short boat ride leads from the shore of Ioannina to the island of Nisaki, the only inhabited island on a lake in Greece. The island is home to traditional houses, monasteries, and the Museum of Ali Pasha, housed in the monastery of Saint Panteleimon. Strolling through narrow streets and having lunch at tavernas along the shore offer a pleasant escape from the city bustle and a different perspective on Ioannina and Lake Pamvotis.
