Cinque Terre — hiking trail between villages

Take the train to Monterosso or Riomaggiore, then walk between the fishing villages nestled on the cliffs above the Ligurian Sea. The trails vary in difficulty — the easiest is the Via dell'Amore between Riomaggiore and Manarola, while the more demanding sections pass through vineyards and offer panoramic views of the coastline. After visiting one or two villages, the easiest way back is by train.
