About 40 km south of Gythio, the Diros Caves offer a boat tour through submerged chambers stretching approximately 1.3 km — the ride lasts 25-30 minutes, followed by a short walk through part of the cave. Depart in the morning around 9am to avoid crowds; tickets are purchased on-site, the ticket office opens at 8:30. A car is the fastest way to get there, a taxi costs around 45 EUR.
