The archaeological site of Philippi, a UNESCO-protected landmark, encompasses the remains of an ancient city featuring a theater, forum, basilicas, and sections of the Roman road Via Egnatia. Located approximately 15 km from Kavala, it is one of the most significant historical sites in northern Greece.
