Furi and the Dossen Glacier Garden

From Zermatt, a cable car carrying up to 100 passengers runs to Furi (1,953 m), from where a roughly 30-minute walk leads to the Dossen Glacier Garden. The garden is a remnant of the last ice age: it features glacial 'mills' — cylindrical potholes carved into the rock by meltwater — as well as the remains of an old soapstone quarry. The circular trail crosses a 100-metre suspension bridge suspended 90 metres above the ground, and barbecue areas are available nearby. Trail accessibility depends on the season and weather conditions, so it is worth checking before you set out.
