An impressive Moorish complex of palaces, gardens, and a fortress from the Nasrid dynasty period, one of the most visited UNESCO sites in Europe. The Alhambra represents the pinnacle of Islamic architecture in Spain, with lavish courtyards, fountains, and ornately decorated palaces. In addition to the Alhambra, the historic Albaicín quarter with its views of the Sierra Nevada is well worth a visit. Tickets are strongly recommended to be booked in advance as capacity is limited.
