Hike to Skopos Viewpoint

A hiking trail from the Argasi settlement (just next to Zakynthos Town) leads to the summit of Mount Skopos (492 m) through a pine forest and maquis shrubland — approximately 2 hours of ascent. At the top stands the 16th-century monastery Panagia Skopiotissa and a panoramic view of the entire island, Kefalonia, and the Peloponnese. Closed-toe shoes and sufficient water are recommended for the climb, especially during summer.
