Source of the Drava

The Drava, which flows through Austria, Slovenia and Croatia before emptying into the Danube near Osijek, rises at the pass between San Candido and Dobbiaco. The easy walk to the source is short and pleasant, suitable for families with children, and there is something special about standing at the very spot where a river of more than seven hundred kilometres begins, knowing that the same water will later make its way across the Pannonian Plain.
