Lake Dobbiaco

Lake Dobbiaco (Toblacher See) lies at the entrance to the Landro Valley, within the Fanes-Senes-Braies nature park, just outside the village. A flat educational trail runs around it, with information boards about the plants, birds and the formation of the lake; it is suitable for families with children and pushchairs alike. The rich riparian vegetation makes it an important resting and nesting site for wetland birds. In summer, visitors walk and cycle along the lake shore, while in winter the frozen surface is used for ice skating and curling.
