Kanina Castle

The remains of Kanina Fortress sit on a hill above Vlorë and for centuries controlled access to the bay. From the walls, you can see the layout of the city, the coastline, and the mountains surrounding the region, making it easier to understand the strategic importance of this site throughout history. Today, sections of the fortifications, gates, and walls are preserved, serving as reminders of the various eras the fortress passed through.
