Kotli — Mills on the Mirna

Kotli is a hamlet on the Mirna river, protected as a rural ensemble, once known for its mills and millers. Its name comes from the cauldron-shaped hollows carved by the water into the rock, which are used for swimming in summer. Today it has no permanent residents, and the stone houses with vaulted ceilings and chimneys preserve the appearance of a traditional Istrian village.
