Kronplatz: Cable Car, MMM Corones and LUMEN

Kronplatz rises directly above Brunico, and a gondola lift from Reischach, a district of the town, carries visitors to the flat summit at 2,275 metres, with views over the Dolomites and the Puster Valley. At the top stand two museums: MMM Corones, embedded into the mountainside to a design by Zaha Hadid Architects and dedicated to traditional alpinism, and LUMEN, a museum of mountain photography. In winter the mountain is a large ski resort with pistes running down every side; in summer it offers a network of trails across alpine meadows.
