One of the most famous levadas on Madeira, leading through dense laurel forests along the irrigation channels characteristic of the island. The trail begins at Queimadas park and passes through several tunnels before reaching a tall waterfall surrounded by steep rocks and lush vegetation. The route is moderately demanding and represents a great choice for discovering the natural interior of Madeira.
