Lido di Venezia

A long sandy beach on the island of Lido, approximately 15 minutes away by vaporetto from the center of Venice. The island is known for the Venice Film Festival held every September (Mostra), well-maintained beach facilities with cabins in traditional Italian style, and a wide sandy shore that stands in complete contrast to the narrow canals of the historic center. Vaporetto lines 1, 5.1, 5.2, and 6 serve Lido. Ideal for a half-day trip when visitors want to escape the crowds of central Venice and spend the day on a sandy beach.
