Lungomare — walk from Opatija to Lovran

A twelve-kilometer-long walking promenade along the very shore of Kvarner, built back in the Austro-Hungarian era, leads from Volosko through Opatija to Lovran. The path passes by old villas, Mediterranean vegetation, and small coves with views of the islands of Cres and Krk — Lovran is a compact old town with Venetian walls and excellent seafood cuisine to round off the walk.
