St. Florian Monastery

St. Florian Monastery

An Augustinian monastery south of Linz, one of the largest Baroque complexes in Upper Austria, featuring a marble hall, imperial apartments, and a library. The church houses the organ on which Anton Bruckner played; he served at the monastery as a choirboy and organist, and was buried beneath that very organ at his own request. The interior can be visited on guided tours during the warmer months of the year.
