Limski kanal

Limski kanal is a narrow sea inlet cutting deep into the Istrian mainland, flanked by steep, forested slopes. Its appearance often leads people to call it a fjord, but it was actually formed by the submersion of a river valley, and it is protected as a significant landscape, not as a national park. It is known for its oyster and mussel farming, waterside restaurants, and viewpoints from which the entire inlet can be seen. It is most commonly reached by boat excursion from Rovinj or Vrsar, or by car to the viewpoint above the canal.
