Nekromanteion — Oracle of the Dead

The ancient sanctuary dedicated to Hades and Persephone is located near the Acheron River, which the ancient Greeks considered to be the entrance to the underworld. The archaeological site includes the remains of a temple and underground chambers associated with ancient rituals. It is about a 30-minute drive from Parga and is often combined with a visit to the Acheron River or the nearby village of Mesopotamos.
