Obergurgl-Hochgurgl and TOP Mountain Crosspoint

The highest villages of the Ötztal and, at 2,175 metres, the TOP Mountain Crosspoint with its motorcycle museum, along the road towards the Timmelsjoch pass. The museum is open for nearly the entire year — from the road opening in May through to the end of the winter season in April — so the section as far as Hochgurgl is accessible in winter as well. The Timmelsjoch pass itself, leading into South Tyrol, is open only from June through to the end of October — making it a summer extension of the excursion rather than a year-round recommendation.
