Orebić and Mount St. Ilija

On the other side of the Pelješac Channel lies Orebić, a former town of sailors and sea captains, above which rises Mount Sveti Ilija. The ascent leads through rocky terrain, maquis shrubland, and viewpoints from which views gradually open up toward Korčula, Pelješac, and the open sea. This is an excursion for travelers who want a more active day and a different perspective on southern Dalmatia.
