Walking Trail to Monte Solaro

The highest point of Capri, Monte Solaro (589 m), can be reached on foot from Anacapri through Mediterranean vegetation and terraced gardens, or by chairlift, which offers views of the island during the ride. From the summit, the Sorrentine Peninsula, Vesuvius, and, on clear days, the Amalfi Coast are visible. A good option is to ascend one way and return the other, so as to experience both.
