Pisa is 25 minutes by train from Lucca, with trains running every 30 minutes or so. Piazza dei Miracoli — the Cathedral, Baptistery, and Leaning Tower — can be visited in 3-4 hours, leaving time for a coffee in the center before heading back. Tower entrance tickets should be booked in advance online.
