Hiking tour along the Pelješac ridge

Hiking tour along the Pelješac ridge

The ascent to Sveti Ilija leads from the Orebić area toward the highest peak of the Pelješac peninsula, which rises to 961 meters above sea level. The trails pass through a rocky Mediterranean landscape and low scrubland, while the higher sections open up panoramic views of Orebić, the Korčula Channel, the islands of Korčula and Mljet, and the open Adriatic Sea. The ascent is demanding and during summer almost entirely without natural shade, so an early start, sufficient water, and appropriate hiking footwear are strongly recommended.
