Mount Zas Hiking

Zas is the highest peak of the Cycladic islands, at 1,001 meters above sea level. The trail starts from the village of Filoti and leads through a rocky mountain landscape to a cave that, according to Greek mythology, is associated with Zeus. The ascent takes about two to three hours, and from the summit there is a panoramic view of Naxos and the surrounding islands.
