Samaria Gorge is one of the longest in Europe and represents the most famous hiking route in Crete. The trail leads through the mountainous landscape of the White Mountains down to the coast of the Libyan Sea and the village of Agia Roumeli. The excursion takes a full day and is intended for visitors prepared for a longer hiking trip.
