A film set village built in 1979 for the filming of the movie Popeye, starring Robin Williams in the lead role. Today it operates as a family attraction featuring wooden houses, shows with actors in Popeye and Olive costumes, playgrounds, boat rides around the cove, and the small Anchor Bay for swimming. It is located on the northwestern coast of Malta, near Mellieħa. It is frequently visited as a half-day or full-day trip from Valletta (bus to Mellieħa, line 222, approximately 60 minutes). Ideal for families with children aged 4-10 who want a combination of an amusement park and swimming in a cove with a view of the film set.
