Rab — by ferry to the old town

From the city of Krk, you reach Rab by driving to Valbiska, from where the Jadrolinija ferry sails to Lopar on Rab. The town of Rab has one of the best-preserved Romanesque old-town cores on the Adriatic: four stone bell towers line up along the walls above the sea. Half a day is enough for the old town, with the rest of the time spent swimming in one of Rab's pebbly coves.
