Ragusa Ibla — a baroque city on the rock

Ragusa Ibla is the historic district of Ragusa, perched on a rocky ridge above the valley. Narrow streets, squares, and baroque palaces lead to the Cathedral of San Giorgio, one of the most celebrated examples of Sicilian Baroque. Together with Noto, it is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Late Baroque Towns of the Val di Noto, offering a unique perspective on the Baroque architecture of southeastern Sicily.
