Sledging from Preda to Bergün

In winter, the road over the Albula Pass, closed to motor traffic, is transformed into a sledging run approximately six kilometres long. You take the train up to Preda, and the run then leads beneath the viaducts of the UNESCO Albula Railway and along the Albula River back down to Bergün, where you board the train again for another descent. The run is lit in the evening, so sledging after dark is perfectly possible. It is popular with families but does require appropriate equipment and speed adjusted to the conditions. Sledges can be hired in both Bergün and Preda.
