Sankt Gilgen by Boat

A village on the other side of the lake, reachable by boat. The lakeside house was the birthplace of Anna Maria Pertl, Mozart's mother, who was born there in 1720, and Mozart's sister Nannerl lived in the same house from 1784 to 1801. Today the house is not a museum but a venue for concerts and cultural programmes. The village also has its own Advent market, connected by boat to St. Wolfgang.
