Sinaia is located at the foot of the Carpathians and can be reached from Brașov by train in less than an hour. The main attraction is Peles Castle, the former summer residence of the Romanian royal family, renowned for its lavish interior and architecture. Nearby is also the Sinaia Monastery, after which the town was named. Due to the combination of culture, nature, and mountain surroundings, this is one of the most popular day trips from Brașov.
