Sremski Karlovci

Sremski Karlovci is a Baroque town on the slopes of Fruška Gora, once the spiritual and political center of Serbs in the Habsburg Monarchy. Around Trg Branka Radičevića square stand the Patriarchal Palace, the Cathedral Church, the Karlovci Grammar School, and the Četiri lava fountain, while nearby is the Chapel of Peace, linked to the peace treaty signed in 1699. The area is also known for its vineyards and the tradition of producing Bermet wine.
