An abandoned yet remarkably well-preserved Orthodox monastery (Manastiri i Shën Mërisë) tucked into a hillside several kilometers from the main road. The main attraction is its medieval frescoes — rare survivors of the anti-religious campaigns under communism. They cover every inch of the church's interior walls, with vivid colors and intricate artistic work. The rows of angels and saints along the dome are exceptionally detailed. The monastery is typically visited in silence — tourists rarely venture here.
