Steyr

A city at the confluence of the River Steyr and the River Enns, home to one of the most beautiful squares in Austria: a row of Gothic and Baroque houses, among them the Bummerlhaus. Alongside the old town centre lies an industrial heritage stretching back centuries — iron has been worked here since the Middle Ages, and later came factories producing weapons and vehicles. In the neighbouring village of Christkindl, a special post office branch stamps Christmas mail from around the world every Advent season.
