A city at the northern end of Lake Ohrid, about 15 km from Ohrid. It is located exactly at the point where the Black Drim river flows out of Lake Ohrid — the riverside promenade is the main city center. It is known for the poetry evenings 'Struga Poetry Evenings', held every year since 1962, bringing together poets from around the world. Local fishing restaurants serve Ohrid trout — a species endemic only to Lake Ohrid.
