Tre Cime di Lavaredo

Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Drei Zinnen) are three vertical rock towers that have become the symbol of the Dolomites and form part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The circular trail around them ranks among the most famous mountain walks in the Alps: a wide, well-marked path with minimal elevation gain, passing mountain huts and offering views of the northern faces of the peaks that appear almost unreal up close. The excursion is best suited to the warmer months, when the trails are free of snow; allow a full day for the circuit and bring gear for changeable mountain weather.
