Pralongià Plateau

Pralongià is a gentle grassy plateau between Corvara and San Cassiano. From Corvara, it is reached by the Col Alt gondola lift, whose lower station is a few minutes' walk from the centre; from the upper station, the route continues on foot across the Col Alt–Pralongià plateau, or by ski in winter. Unlike the steep summits surrounding it, the terrain here consists of wide paths and pastures with no demanding climbs, and the views open out onto the Sella, the Puez, the Fanes, and the glacial massif of the Marmolada. In summer it is a place for peaceful walks and rest in mountain huts; in winter it forms part of a ski area with runs suited to beginners and intermediate skiers.
