Praia dos Ingleses

One of the most famous beaches in the Foz do Douro district. The name (Beach of the English) originates from the time when English wine merchants lived in that area of Porto. Along the shore stretches a promenade lined with historic houses, cafes, and ice cream shops — an authentic local atmosphere without tourist-trap prices. Bus 500 from the center of Porto takes 20 minutes.
