The most popular city beach in the Thessaloniki area, located south of the city, about 25 minutes by car from the center (buses depart regularly from the KTEL station). A long sandy shore with shallow water that is well suited for families with children. Along the promenade there are numerous cafes, restaurants and tavernas serving fresh fish — ideal for a full-day outing. Especially popular on weekends when Thessaloniki residents 'escape' from the city to the shore. The atmosphere is more residential and local than touristy.
