A Gothic cathedral from the 15th century with distinctive twin towers that are the symbol of Munich and the defining landmark of its skyline. The interior houses the legendary 'Devil's Footprint' in the floor and the tombs of Bavarian rulers. It is considered one of the most important religious buildings in Bavaria.
Entrance to the cathedral is free. The tower is currently under renovation and may be closed to visitors. A morning visit is recommended before the tourist crowds arrive. The church is an active place of worship.
