Acueducto del Águila

The aqueduct, built between 1879 and 1880, was used to irrigate sugar cane plantations in the vicinity of Nerja. The brick construction with four levels of arches spans the valley near the Cueva de Nerja caves and represents one of the best-preserved examples of industrial hydraulic architecture in Andalusia.
